We have several functions that relate to how we engage with designated public mental health services:

  • We handle complaints about Victorian publicly funded mental health and wellbeing services; and
  • We promote effective complaint handling by mental health and wellbeing service providers.
  • We provide stewardship.
  • Information sharing plays a critical role in our relationship with services.
  • We encourage services to contact us, to highlight barriers to compliance and advise us or other governance entities on how to address these issues.
