Under the Mental Health Act 2014, all public mental health services must provide reports about the complaints they receive to the Mental Health Complaints Commissioner (MHCC).

Our Lived Experience Plan is grounded in the belief that every person receiving mental health care has the right to actively participate in their recovery.

Our monitoring and reporting functions require us to report on aspects of the mental health and wellbeing of Victorians and the systems that support them. This involves reporting at the levels of individual consumers, families, carers and supporters, the Mental Health and Wellbeing system and the Victorian community.
